Pregnancies, weight fluctuations or constitutional tendency could be the cause of a cutaneous relaxation of the inner thighs.

Pre-operative evaluation

During the physical examination is evaluated the texture and the elasticity of the skin and subcutis of the inner thighs. The operation is performed in general anaesthesia and demands 2-3 days of hospitalization. The stichs are removed within 10-15 days from the operation.

Operation

To obtain an improvement of the inner part of the thighs, an incision is made in the fold of the inguen that continues down and on the back in the gluteus fold. Through this incision the skin is unglued and had up while the exceeding parts are eliminated. The turning out scar is easily hidden by a common slip or swimsuit. In time the scar will come back to its own colour, but it will not be invisible, for this reason sometimes is necessary a partial surgical revision.
