The nose has a fundamental importance both from the
aesthetic and functional point of view, characterizing the
lineaments of the face
and acting as a filter for humidification and adaptation to
the intracorporeal temperature of the inhaled air. |

Pre-operative Evaluation |
|
|
|
During the pre-operative consult are carefully evaluated the
proportions of the face and the functional appraisal, in
fact to the operation
of rhinoplasty can be associated, in case of an eventual
respiratory alteration, also a septorhinoplasty.
In the pre-operative talks are also estimated the type of
anaesthesia (local or general in relation to the entity of
the previewed
operation), and the necessity of hospitalization, together
with a better acquaintance of the real expectations of the
patient.. |

Operation |
|
|
|
The reshaping of the nose is done through an incision inside
the nostrils, without therefore leaving external scars.
We can act on the skeletal and cartilaginous structures to
correct imperfection of the tip (that can be raised,
shortened or reduced of
volume) or of the back, that can be thinned, straightened or
lowered according to necessities. |

Post-operative
course |
|
|
|
Rhinoplasty surgery is not painful, the only disadvantage is
that for one or two days the nostrils are closed by pads and
the patient breaths with the mouth. The nose is protected by
a small chalk shell that will be removed after one week.
During the post-operative period can be present swelling of
the eyelids which will progressively disappear after few
days. After the
surgery, long exposure to the sun and to cold weather are
advised for about a month. |

Checking
controls |
|
|
|
Cheking Controls are planned after one month and after 5/6
months in order to verify the good consolidation of the
structures. |
